Role Overview

‍We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality assurance team. As an SDET at Ionage, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our mobile applications and backend systems through both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify and write high quality test-cases, ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

●Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with developers and product managers to develop comprehensive test strategies for Android and iOS platforms.

●Manual Testing - Conduct manual tests across applications to ensure high-quality user experiences on both mobile platforms.

● Automation Script -     Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium and Appium to expand test coverage.

●Defect Management - Identify, log, and track defects to ensure timely fixes and high-quality product releases.

●Test Case Execution - Develop  and execute test case for functional ,regression, integration, and performance testing.

●Documentation -   Maintain and update essential test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.

●Code Quality Improvement   - Actively contribute to enhancing test code quality.

●Product Feedback        - Provide recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, and maintainability.

●Innovation in Testing        - Continuously research and adopt new testing tools and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

● 3-4 years of experience in manual & automation testing with at least 3-4 applications on both Android and iOS platforms.

● Technical Skills -

  • Automation Skills: Hands - on         experience    with test automation           tools such as    Selenium, Appium,                 or similar  Frameworks.

           • Understanding of QA Process: Strong   understanding of the software         development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA             methodologies, including
      test planning, test case design, and             defect tracking.

     • Collaboration: Strong communication    skills and the ability to work        collaboratively with developers and               product managers

● Bonus Skills -

     • Experience with API testing using tools           like Postman or Rest Assured

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and     integrating automated tests into the           development process

     • Exposure to performance testing tools           like JMeter or LoadRunner.
